Braking

Q: My brakes squeal, how can I get rid of it?

A: Brake squeal occurs when your brakes are not towed (angled) properly, or when your pads are not "compatible" with your rim (this is rare). Try towing your brakes in, the front of the pad should hit the rim first. If this does not help, tow them out. If this still does not work, you may need new brake pads. As a last resort, you could also try cleaning your rims with alcohol (don't get any on the tire or brake shoes) and sanding a light layer of rubber off your brake shoes. As always, be extremely careful when adjusting brakes.
