All things cycling from a family-owned store since 1983. Nathan Jung started the shop with the same basic principles we hold today: honesty, customer-centrism, and solid service and product.

Continental Cyclery was founded in 1983 by brothers Nathan and Peter Jung in Hutchinson, KS. We have been at our current location since 2002.

Nathan started his first bicycle repair shop at age 14 in the small town of Oxford, Wisconsin. He eventually moved to Newton, KS, to work in machining quality control at the Hesston Corporation. There he gained expertise in metals and machining which transfers nicely to bicycles.

At the age of 23 he opened Continental Cyclery in Hutchinson, KS, with the help of his wife Susan and his brother Peter. After years of success and growth, in 1987 they purchased Coventry Cycles in Wichita's Delano district. After several more years of increased business, they opened a 3rd location on north Rock road in Wichita.

Fast forward several years, Peter decided to move on and Nathan wanted to focus on just one store. Nathan's love for providing quality in his work and customer service would be more attainable by staying at one location. So, in the spring of 2002 everything was consolidated to our present location on West street.

In the end, throughout all these good changes, two things have remained constant: Specialized Bicycles and our mission.
